About This Blog: Violetskye is a phrase that Mika sings superhigh, and when I hear it, it makes me feel like I am driving as fast as I can go into the mountains on a summer day; it sounds to me like a Wallace Stevens line or a Dylan Thomas kenning.

About Me: I’m at home abroad, and a tourist at home. I’m a traveler and a rambler.  Round and round and round I go and usually end up right back at the beginning like G.K. Chesterton’s explorer who sails into Bath thinking he has discovered a new country.

I came to visit and say hi. Howdy there. I wish I had seen you more last weekend. But hey, whoever believed that wedding weekends weren’t crazy.
